Striking Accessories & Detailed Tailoring Dominate TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist.'s SS20 Collection
The Japanese designer makes his return to Paris.

Making his triumphant return to Paris Fashion Week, designer Takahiro Miyashita put on a display of the latest assemblage of evocative wares that make up the forthcoming Spring/Summer 2020 range from TAKAHIROMIYASHITA TheSoloist.
With his last time presenting in the city being in 2009 with his final NUMBER (N)INE collection, Miyashita looked to make a statement with his comeback. Accessories served as a major element of the show, as slim looks came down the runway accented by intricate dangling silver-tone necklaces and studded belts riddled with gems. As usual, tailoring filled with details served as the base of the collection.
Maintaining a simple black and white color scheme, traditional tailoring dressed in a contrast-focused all over text print served as a lead into more themed garments. A Napoleonic theme was present throughout the range expressed via the interesting interlaced collars on shirting, high-waisted trousers and calf cuffs. More obvious homages came in the form of hussar military pelisse jackets marked with gold trim and matching exaggerated buttons.
