LI-NING Presents Ping-Pong Inspired Collection at Paris Fashion Week Men's 2020
Alongside a roster of chunky sneakers and a Stefano Pilati collaboration.
LI-NING has presented its Spring/Summer 2020 collection at Paris Fashion Week Men’s alongside the debut of a sneaker collaboration with Stefano Pilati and his Random Identities label.
LI-NING delivers a collection that pays tributes to one of its home country’s most popular competitive sports — ping-pong. The Chinese label was inspired by the ping-pong polo and used this simplistic sporting staple to define the entire collection, utilizing a set of new, ultra-lightweight fabrics for everything from coats and shirts to pants, shorts, and accessories.
The Stefano Pilati collaborative sneaker is dubbed the Aurora lo-top trail running boot. It was showcased in a triple black colourway with a built-in LED light that can be set at three settings: on, strobe and intermittent strobe. The Aurora draws its inspiration from Berlin’s cycling and underground club scene and debuted alongside a host of other chunky silhouettes, such as the exaggerated and color-clashing Sun Chaser sneaker and Summer-ready slides.
Standout looks from the LI-NING Paris Fashion Week Men’s SS20 runway include a sport-infused triple red set, the beige and green zip-up polo and the blue nylon two-piece. Other notable pieces include the green and white colorblocked technical trench coat, as well as the embroidered V-neck varsity sweater and range of striped tote bags.
