Jeezy & Master P Unite for Drumma Boy-Produced Single "Gone"
The pair are reportedly working on a project together.
Two of the southern hip-hop’s most respected trailblazers are coming together for “Gone,” a new collaborative single from Jeezy and Master P. Produced by Drumma Boy, “Gone” comes to us as the latest single in support of the soundtrack for I Got The Hook Up 2, which is scheduled for release on July 12. Master P originally teased and introduced “Gone” on social media and YouTube earlier this year, taking to those platforms to share snippets of the Jeezy-assisted record. Besides his contribution to the aforementioned film’s soundtrack, Jeezy has an acting role in the actual movie as well.
“This project is not only hilariously funny, but it expresses the vitality of gentrification, entrepreneurship, and coming together as a family during hard times,” Master P tells the public in an official statement, sharing his thoughts on the film that “Gone” aims to support, I Got The Hook Up 2 “With all the tragedies in the world, we could all use a good laugh. This is one of the many projects on the way from Genius Minds Films.”
A few months ago, Master P also discussed his plans to drop a joint album with Jeezy. “The album is called It’s Gonna Be a Cold Summer because that’s how it’s going to be,” Master P revealed to XXL. “The Ice Cream Man and the Snowman … We got several songs [done]…we, like, almost there. We shot a video in New Orleans. We shot a video for I Got the Hook Up 2 soundtrack. So we got a lot of things in the works … Get your mink coats out for the South. We are coming with mink coats in the summer.”

Towards the end of last year, Master P teamed up with LRG to drop a special No Limit Records capsule.
