Jaden Smith, Vic Mensa & Belly Join Christian Rich for Anime Video in 'Shibuya (Ghost II)'
The second installment of ‘Ghost.’
Continuing on the success of “Ghost” released last summer, Christian Rich and Jaden Smith have reunited to release a follow-up to the popular single and video. The sequel, titled “Shibuya (Ghost II)”, also enlists the help of Vic Mensa and Belly on the vocals.
Grammy-nominated production duo Christian Rich, made up of twin brothers Kehinde and Taiwo Hassan, aimed to deliver a second chapter to their successful track, along with accompanying visuals that would convey their vision of a super team. “Delivering songs with superstars all on one song, we see them like combining the Avengers. Visually we created a short film concept to bring a new look to contemporary music but with nostalgic elements that connect the viewer to forgotten childhood adventures,” they stated in the press release. The result is an epic anime-inspired music video set in a futuristic Shibuya, which draws inspiration from cartoons like G-Force and He-Man that the brothers watched as kids.
