Video Surfaces Showing Toyota Has Been Downplaying the 2020 Supra's Power

So how much horsepower does it really have?

Car Throttle has just released a video testing out Toyota’s 2020 Supra. While many have complained that this sports car is essentially a BMW Z4 with a different badge, Toyota has hinted that the 2020 Supra is actually a tuner’s dream car — with a number of details like the faux-ventilation plates and front block-off plates intended to be removed for future modification.

The latest findings are a sure plus for potential Supra buyers, as shown while on the dyno (starting at 4:30 in the video), the 2020 Supra makes far more power than its official 335hp and 369lb-ft of torque. After dyno testing the sports car, the real numbers came out at 376hp and 410lb-ft of torque — a massive 40 horsepower more. The specialist in the video goes on to say that since the engine is practically the Z4’s BMW B58 turbocharged straight-six engine that’s been deliberately restricted, it has the potential to make 450hp with only a remap, downpipe and exhaust bolt on.

What are your thoughts? Does this added power change the fact that the 2020 Supra is still a rebranded Z4?
