Linda Hamilton Returns as Sarah Connor in 'Terminator: Dark Fate'
“Welcome to the day after Judgement Day.”
Paramount Pictures and Skydance have shared the first official teaser trailer for the latest film in the Terminator franchise, Dark Fate.
Dark Fate will serve as a direct sequel to James Cameron’s iconic 1991 flick Terminator 2: Judgment Day and will welcome back Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor. The last time Hamilton played the iconic role was in 1991. Of course Arnold Schwarzenegger is also back, perhaps as the T-800, although more details surrounding his role have yet to surface.
Gabriel Luna (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) takes on the role of the new Terminator while Mackenzie Davis (Blade Runner 2049) also portrays a futuristic robot trying to protect the life of Natalia Reyes’ (Birds of Passage) character.
By the looks of the trailer, the film will take place after Judgment Day and will bypass the events of Rise Of The Machines, Salvation and Genisys. All three previous sequels proved disappointing to many fans.
Along with the teaser trailer, the first poster for the film was also shared placing Sarah Connor front and center along with the tagline, “Welcome to the day after Judgement Day.” An earlier image was shared last summer, spotlighting the three female leads.
Directed by Tim Miller and produced by Cameron, look for Terminator: Dark Fate to land in theaters November 1.
In more entertainment news, Christopher Nolan’s upcoming movie received a title.
