Photographer Justin Aversano to Display 100 Portraits of Diverse Twins
As part of an upcoming NYC exhibition entitled “Twin Flames.”
Photographer Justin Aversano will launch a solo exhibition entitled “Twin Flames” at Superchief Gallery in Ridgewood, NY. The forthcoming presentation will feature Aversano’s series of portraits that depict 100 sets of twins, both fraternal and identical. All photographs were captured using three formats of film: Polaroid, 120mm, and 4×5.
“’Twin Flames’ is an immaculate journey, pushing the boundaries of sociopolitical agenda, culture, tradition, and art by exposing the beauty, comedies, tragedies and all-around humanity of ‘twinhood,’” said the gallery in a statement.
Coinciding with the presentation is a book launch, of the same name, that is available now for pre-order at Superchief’s website for $100 USD. “Twin Flames” will be open to the public starting May 18 until May 31. View select portraits above.
