adidas Blends Vintage and Futuristic Design Cues in the "Era Pack"
Steeped in “Solar Green” accents.
As a follow up from the previous adidas Originals LXCON in “Core Black,” the Three Stripes has unveiled a brightly hued version of the silhouette in “Solar Green/Cream White,” alongside the Ozweego in “FTWR White/Solar Green,” joined together as the “Era Pack.”
Drawn from the German footwear company’s expansive archive, the adidas Originals LXCON is inspired by a pair of vintage runners from ‘94. In this iteration, the upper mesh is tinged in fluorescent green at the top and gradually fades into black near the midsole. Three stripes branding at the sides appears in the form of beige leather swatches that holds the translucent pipes running through. Blue accents, a plastic heel tab and an eggshell-toned rubber outsole round up the details.
The Ozweego “FTWR White/Solar Green” takes design cues from the late ’90s to early ’00s as retro-influenced elements like its chunky adiPrene midsole and multilayered upper give the sneaker its distinctive character. A recurring motif seen in the aforementioned sneaker also gets added to this footwear piece, except more subtle this time — lightly tinted plastic pipes get tucked under the lace cage and heel. Three lime-colored stripes appear over blue and beige ripstop at the sidewalls. Premium suede and TPU overlays are also added to the breathable upper. Lastly, its Adiprene sole displays a slightly raised outsole at the heel that’s emboldened in an orange palette, adding warm accents to the shock absorbing technology.
The adidas Originals LXCON “Solar Green/Cream White” and Ozweego “FTWR White/Solar Green” will be available on May 18 at 4 a.m. EST at Adidas’ website for $100 USD.
