Multidisciplinary Spanish artist Ricardo Cavolo is set to launch a new solo exhibition at London’s StolenSpace gallery entitled “Hero’s Wound.” Renowned for his vivid motifs that blend folk art with pop culture subjects, the forthcoming presentation will feature a fresh selection of original paintings that evoke Cavolo’s “personal childhood heroes, and the stories applied to them expressing vulnerability of the human condition,” said the gallery in a statement.
“Heroes must fight their own demons, just like everybody else. The difference lies in what comes after their internal battle. Heroes are heroic because they save the world and alter the fate of humankind in spite of their own ghosts,” said Cavolo to the gallery.
