White Belt Jesse Eisenberg Fights for Respect in 'The Art of Self Defense'
The dark comedy premiered this weekend at SXSW.
Following news of his co-starring in a Zombieland sequel later this year, Jesse Eisenberg will first star in Riley Stearns’ dark comedy, The Art of Self Defense.
Having made its world premiere at SXSW this weekend,The Art of Self Defense follows Casey (Eisenberg), who, after a dangerous encounter on the streets, decides to take of karate as a last ditch effort to better protect himself. As he gets deeper into his training however, his paranoia grows, engulfing his every waking moment.
The Art of Self Defense will hit select theaters later this year on June 21. In other entertainment news, Captain Marvel raked in $455M USD at the global box office, sixth best opening all-time.
