BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS' Masafumi Watanabe Debuts SIWILAI Patent 001 for SS19
The Japanese designer joins the Thai concept store for an exclusive collection.

Bangkok’s multi-brand concept store SIWILAI prepares to celebrate its fifth anniversary with the debut of its first-ever in-house collection. SIWILAI brought on BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS designer Masafumi “Bebetan” Watanabe to helm the new brand, blending traditional craftsmanship with street-savvy garments.
Thai heritage informs the entire SIWILAI Patent 001 collection, with the country’s iconic touchstones — like Chedi, elephants and Tuk-Tuks — realized as lightheated graphics alongside SIWILAI branding, printed across sunny yellow T-shirts and neutral-toned sweatshirts. Watanabe’s trademark line, “PARAMOUNT QUALITY,” is executed underneath a Paramount Pictures-style logo to drive the motif home, with similarly playful stylization informing the other imagery.
Wardrobe staples like hoodies and varsity jackets are elevated with contrasting seams and locally-sourced, hand-dyed fabrics, giving the entire collection a lived-in, premium feel. Bespoke leather shoulder bags, lightweight open-collar shirting, relaxed cotton trousers and traditional Thai “Mauhom” outerwear complement the collection’s other graphic goods, offering a sophisticated counterpoint to the more youthful items.
SIWILAI Patent 001’s first drop goes live in-store on March 16.
