Nike Partners With Sneaker Stores for "Give Fresh Air" Campaign
The evolution of Air Max Day.
As announced earlier this month, Nike is switching things up for Air Max Day 2019. The footwear giant is deviating from its usual celebration of releasing limited edition Air Max silhouettes and is instead focusing its efforts on its new “Give Fresh Air” campaign.
With the help of sneaker boutiques and local organizations, the “Give Fresh Air” project’s main goal is to stimulate sneaker culture in a way that will spark change and give back to the community. Nike patrons are encouraged to donate new and gently worn sneakers to partner retailers in the United States and Canada.
West Coast customers can head over to Undefeated, Laced and SNS in Los Angeles, Bows & Arrows in San Francisco, Bait in San Diego and Likelihood in Seattle, while those in the East Coast can visit Concepts in New York City, KITH in SOHO and Brooklyn and UBIQ in Philadelphia and DC.
Customers in the south can make their way to Sneaker Politics in New Orleans, Oneness in Louisville, A Ma Maniere in Atlanta and Social Status in Charlotte. Meanwhile, Xhibition in Shaker Heights and Saint Alfred in Chicago can cater to folks in the Midwest. Canadians have only one option of Livestock in Toronto.
The “Give Fresh Air” campaign runs from March 18 until April 13. Check your local sneaker store for participating dates.
In recent Air Max Day news, European retailer size? has teased its upcoming Air Max Light collaboration.
