Nicholas Daley Showcases SS19 Collection With "SLYGO" Campaign Video
Inspired by his parents’ reggae club night.
London-based designer Nicholas Daley has spotlighted his Spring/Summer 2019 collection with a new campaign video. The video was shot at Daley’s presentation during London Fashion Week: Men’s back in June 2018, which saw a string of musicians and creatives including Don Letts, Cosmo Pyke and Obongjayar take over London’s Swiss Church.
Titled “SLYGO” after the DJ alias used by Daley’s father, the collection is inspired by the Reggae Klub night ran by Daley’s parents across Scotland in the late ’70s and early ’80s. The Spring/Summer 2019 collection is built around Daley’s focus on heritage manufacturers, with footwear made in collaboration with Tricker’s, bespoke fabrics from Vanners silk weavers and headwear with Christys’ hat makers.
Take a look at the video in the gallery above, and expect Nicholas Daley’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection hit retailers including Goodhood, Dover Street Market and the Nicholas Daley web store in the near future.
