Exploring youth culture and “NU POWER.”

Beijing-based MYGE has released its Spring/Summer 2019 collection, looking to the youth culture it taps into with a collection that investigates drug usage.

Focussing once again on “NU POWER,” the SS19 drop explores the connections between humans and pharmaceuticals. Three sectors are chosen in the collection, ranging from plant and mineral graphics to anti-chemical suits which play on human creativity, as well as oddities and illusions which express the effect of drugs on the brain.

The range also plays on conglomerate branding, taking its hand to a manipulated MasterCard logo and logos from both the electrical and pharmaceutical industries. Standout pieces include the color-changing jacket, a graphic-printed blue and white striped shirt, the collegiate-influenced patchwork sweatshirt and the all-over MYGE-printed jacket and short set.

Take a look at the extensive SS19 collection in the gallery above, and shop the drop over on MYGE’s website now.
