2 Chainz Travels Through Time for New "Money In The Way" Video
Off his latest LP, ‘Rap or Go to the League.’
Last Friday, 2 Chainz released his fifth studio album, Rap or Go to the League. A full-length followup to 2017’s Pretty Girls Like Trap Music LP, the 14-track, star-studded project features collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, Kodak Black, E-40 and others, as well as LeBron James as its executive producer and A&R. In support of the album, 2 Chainz drops his latest visual, teaming up with director Vincent Lou for the Jabz- and Buddah Bless-produced record “Money In The Way.”
Like many of his past releases, “Money In The Way” finds its creator using the song as a platform to brag and boast in a colorful, agile way. “Psychedelic flow, I’m the dope and the antidote / Fade down the street from the pocket store, what you know? / Goin’ back and forth, in and out, movin’ lateral / Tools like mechanics, take your women for collateral,” 2 Chainz spits. “Put her on the saddle with a paddle and an Adderall (Yeah) / Just tryna string it out like Latimore (Alright) / Old timer ass n***a, you are unemployed (You) / I’ll buy my girl a building with the furniture (Tell ‘em) / You still gettin’ their hair done, I’m on the tummy tuck (Hah) / Yeah, I’m 2 Chainz, I’m known to double up (Double up) / In the double R with a double cup (Double cup).”
