Titanfall developer Respawn made a surprise announcement and debut of its new free-to-play battle royale shooter Apex Legends.

The title has been described as a mixture of Overwatch and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4‘s Blackout mode.

Although the game has only been out for a few hours now, the title has over 1 million unique players as well as now being the most popular title on Twitch. It currently has around 259k viewers, and last night it held a significant 495k viewers.

Apex Legends looks to be Respawn’s focus, as it also announced no plans for another Titanfall installment. Grab the title now for free on PS4, Xbox, and PC.
