Your Old Droog Recruits MF DOOM, Mach-Hommy & More for 'Jewelry' LP
Mach-Hommy also serves as the 12-track project’s executive producer.

Back in June, Your Old Droog released a new album titled Transportation. Comprised of 15 tracks, Transportation served as its creator’s second full-length release of 2019, coming to us less than two months after the debut of his previous 2019 LP, It Wasn’t Even Close. Now, the acclaimed New York City emcee is back with his third studio album of 2019, Jewelry.
For his final major release of 2019, Your Old Droog is giving listeners 12 new records to digest, including collaborations with MF DOOM, Mach-Hommy, Tha God Fahim and Matisyahu. Besides his lyrical contributions to LP cuts “Shamash”, “BDE” and “Desert Eagle,” Mach-Hommy is also credited as Jewelry’s executive producer.
“I’ve learned that a lot of this starts with who you are and the caliber of person you are and your overall life experience. I’m also of the belief that you can be the nicest motherf*cker ever with the most wordplay and metaphors, but if you’re a lame, those skills don’t matter. You’re just a cornball that can rap,” Your Old Droog shared with Wax Poetics earlier this year. “The act of rapping itself is not that impressive. It’s the perspectives you bring and the reference points you use, and then we can talk about technique and shit.”
