Meister's Latest Watch Collection Captures 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker's' Best Characters
Including R2-D2, C-3PO, Kylo Ren and many more.
Watchmaker Meister has teamed up with Star Wars for a concise collection of watches celebrating Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
The collection is comprised of seven watches inspired by the film, accompanied by another timepiece that captures the essence of Disney+‘s The Mandalorian series. Three smaller timepieces are inspired by Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker‘s main characters, including the Droids — R2-D2, BB-8 and D-O — while four more intricate models take cues from C-3PO, Kylo Ren, Sith Troopers and the Jedi.
All of the Droids and the Sith Trooper watches are modeled after Meister’s Ambassador X timepiece. It’s a smaller version of the Ambassador — which is used for the Kylo Ren and Jedi iterations – that features a 40mm case. These timepieces are comprised of composite plastic and steel, with R2-D2’s take sporting a silver stainless bezel, crown, pushers, and bolts. Each of the four Ambassador X watches sport a unique dial inspired by their namesake character and an interchangeable strap.
Elsewhere, the Kylo Ren watch is a more heavy-duty timepiece made from all-black brushed 316 stainless steel. Its multi-piece case features eight hexagon bolts alongside silver details on the dial, crown, and pushers. Red cracks on the dial and silver hands are inspired by the Supreme Leader’s helmet, while the First Order emblem sits at the middle-bottom of the sub-dial.
The Jedi watch is made from brushed gold 316 stainless steel and sports the icon’s emblem on its gold subdials with blue hour markers. Rounding out this capsule collection of limited-editing timepieces is the C-3PO Major, a large 50mm x 44mm multi-piece 316 stainless steel polished watch in light gold featuring six hexagon bolts and a silver crown.
Finally, the C-3PO Major is finished with detailing in the day and date dials that reference the robot’s stomach wires. All of the timepieces are limited-edition, ranging from 75 to 150 units per model.
