Japanese imprint VAINL ARCHIVE has teamed up with American outdoor label Marmot for a set of padded down jackets packed with GORE-TEX INFINIUM technology. This collaboration follows a previous Japan-exclusive Vans co-sign and sees founder Kouhei Ohkita deliver his unique design sensibilities on puffer jackets instead this time around.
Coming in the colorways black, olive and red, the jackets boast protective water-repellent shells. Each piece has been padded with 750 down fill and features a boxy cut. Most of the silhouette is dominated by a solid color, but its design is accented with subtle details, like black panels around the collars, “Marmot” branding above the left pocket. velcro cuffs and a small patch logo at the left arm. GORE-TEX INFINIUM technology has been applied to the jackets for waterproofing, while its sleek nylon textile gives the jackets a subtle sheen. As a finishing note, each piece comes with black interior lining to match the sleek accents on the outside.
The VAINL ARCHIVE x Marmot Down GORE-TEX INFINIUM Jackets will be available on November 9 for $624 USD at BEAUTY & YOUTH‘s physical store Shibuya Koen-dori. Scroll above for a look at the winter weather essentials.
