Evan Mock Captures The Free Irreverent Spirit Evoked by Saint Laurent
Featuring its newest Venice unisex sneakers.
Paris-based luxury brand Saint Laurent drops the Venice sneakers as part of its new unisex accessories collections. Evan Mock, the photographer and model discovered by Frank Ocean, captured the West Coast, laid-back island attitude and the free, irreverent spirit evoked by Saint Laurent.
The images celebrate the nostalgic themes of off-beat travel, friendship and youth; characteristics regularly spotted on the coastal retreats of Hawaii. Inspired by the counter-cultures along the American West Coast, the sharp patterns and the monochrome color palette emphasizes the contemporary silhouettes of the iconic French label.
Saint Laurent continues to push the envelope under the guidance of Anthony Vaccarello, reaffirming his mastery in delivering an array of striking designs, leading Saint Laurent’s evolution by continually innovating and exploring boundaries. Saint Laurent recently chose Los Angeles to present its Spring/Summer 2020 men’s show. Staying true to the American West Coast aesthetic and envisioning the city as the latest Marrakesh.
Made of leather and canvas on herringbone-patterned soles, lace-up versions of the sneakers are also available in Black/Gold, White/Gold and White Stripes or the slip-on versions in Black/Red Animal Print.
Retailing for $395 USD, the Venice sneakers are available now at selected YSL retailers and the brand’s web store. To find out more about the Venice Sneaker, shop the men’s collection here and the women’s collection here.
