Lady Gaga to Portray Key Figure in Ridley Scott's Upcoming Movie About Gucci Family
Patrizia Reggiani was convicted of ordering Maruizio Gucci’s death.

Filmmaker Ridley Scott has announced that he will be co-producing a film about the Gucci family, specifically the assassination of Maurizio Gucci, grandson of the fashion house’s founder, Guccio Gucci. The latest announcement surrounding the film is that Lady Gaga has been recently added to the cast, slated to play a key role in Maurizio’s death.
According to Deadline, Lady Gaga will portray Maurizio’s ex-wife Patrizia Reggiani. After Maurizio was shot and killed in 1995, Reggiani was eventually convicted of ordering his death in 1998 and later released from prison in 2014. The movie’s script will reportedly be based on Sara Gay Forden’s book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
The upcoming Gucci film will be the first movie Lady Gaga has joined since her portrayal of Ally in A Star Is Born alongside Bradley Cooper – a role for which she was nominated for Best Actress at the Academy Awards and given an Oscar for writing the song Shallow.
