HYPEBEAST Magazine launched its 27th edition, The Kinship Issue, featuring cover stars UNDERCOVER and Futura, at Tokyo’s Mitsuki on November 19, followed by Futura’s pop-up event at Dover Street Market Ginza (DSMG) on November 20. Here’s what went down over the two days.
The Issue 27 launch party at Mitsuki saw a celebration of streetwear and street art, where industry personalities from Japan and the world came together over good vibes and music, including Futura, Easy Otabor, Rola, Verdy, Jon Gray of Ghetto Gastro, Yoshirotten, SKOLOCT, Poggy, Shinji Nanzuka, Yuta Hosokawa of Readymade, Kubo of GR8, Shinpei Ueno, ANARCHY, and 5lack. The new HYPEBEAST Magazine issue as well as limited edition HYPEBEAST logo stickers were given to all guests at the celebration. Check out the gallery above for the party snaps.

The following day, Futura’s pop-up event was held at DSMG where a new collaboration T-shirt between Futura and UNDERCOVER for HYPEBEAST Magazine was launched, alongside an array of other Futura Laboratories collaboration items. Visitors were treated to heat-pressed customization by Futura as well as photo and autograph opportunities.
