CLOT and Expert Horror have teamed up once again for a six-piece capsule collection inspired by the works of Stanley Kubrick.

The capsule follows on from 2018’s partnership which saw CLOT founders Edison Chen and Kevin Poon showcase the pieces at their first-ever NYFW runway show. Expert Horror, which was founded by a group of London creatives in 2016, has since delivered a number of limited-edition and sought-after collections.

This time around, the duo pay homage to Kubrick’s work with references to some of his most iconic movie posters and logos, most notably the line of hoodies and T-shirts that play on A Clockwork Orange. Instead of the original artwork, the garments sport a reworked poster displaying “Clotwork/Expert Horror’s/An Expert Horror Production ‘CLOTWORK’ for CLOT.”

Elsewhere, a T-shirt with the phrase “Ultra-Violence” and a graphic of the Ludovico Medical Facility from A Clockwork Orange references when Alex is put through aversion therapy tactics of the fictional Ludovico Technique. Lastly, a reference to the film’s Korova Milk Bar — which is laced with drugs — becomes a psychedelia-tinged graphic branded with the words “Moloklot Milkbar.”

The CLOT x Expert Horror capsule collection launches today at Dover Street Market London in-store and online. Prices range from £58 GBP to £148 GBP (approx. $75 USD — $190 USD).

In other news, Places+Faces has dropped a minimally-embroidered sweatsuit capsule.
