City Girls Are Back in Familiar Form With Bossy "You Tried It" Single
The rap duo is reunited.
The City Girls have officially united again since JT was released from prison last month and able to rejoin her fellow bandmate Yung Miami. Now, hot on the heels of the new “Melanin” track with Ciara, the rap duo have just dropped off a fresh single of their own, “You Tried It.”
Despite JT’s time behind bars, the City Girls still managed to be featured on several songs over the course of her imprisonment. Yung Miami held down the group while jumping on hot records such as Saweetie’s “My Type” remix and Juicy J’s “Three Point Stance” alongside Megan Thee Stallion.
In May, the City Girls even dropped a music video for “Careless” despite the fact that JT was already serving time. Now, the no-holds-barred rappers are back together and in familiar form with the self-confident bars throughout “You Tried It.” Listen to it in full by scrolling to the lyric video above or stream it below.
Elsewhere for the group, they shared a celebratory “JT First Day Out” track in October. Yung Miami, meanwhile, kept busy during the summer with features on songs including A$AP Ferg’s “Wigs” and YBN Nahmir’s “F*ck It Up” with Tyga.
