A Photographic Journey Through Camp Flog Gnaw 2019
A look back at this year’s event.

Over the weekend, Camp Flog Gnaw entered its eighth year of operation, returning to Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Although some controversy concerning Drake‘s set has popped up in the headlines surrounding Camp Flog Gnaw 2019, the showcase still remains one of the regional scene’s biggest contemporary music events and this year’s iteration boasts one of the strongest lineups of any 2019 festival. Performances from 21 Savage, DaBaby, Tyler, The Creator, Solange, Summer Walker and Earl Sweatshirt provided some of the festival’s most notable and enjoyable moments — including Earl Sweatshirt debuting a previously-unheard record and DaBaby’s tireless display of energy.
“I was never scared to just jump in there and try something new –especially when I, when I really jumped out there and started just doing whatever, just doing me,” DaBaby told us earlier this year, explaining his animated, charismatic approach to his music videos and live act. “I ain’t afraid to be creative. Ni**as will sit around, play around and joke around all day but feel like as soon as the camera comes on they got to be the toughest ni**a in the world.”
“We just work hard so when we have fun, we have fun,” DaBaby adds. “When you find a way to have fun, while you’re working, and it works for the supporters, it works for the people that’s viewing your shit, they like it — it’s different. Why would you shy away from it?”
