adidas Originals Wraps Sneakers Old & New in GORE-TEX INFINIUM-Covered Premium Leather
Reworking the Superstar, Rivalry Low, SC Premiere and Supercourt RX.
adidas Originals is releasing a line of sneakers new and old infused with GORE-TEX INFINIUM technology. The collection spans the Rivalry Low from 1989 and the Superstar, as well as two newer models, the SC Premiere and the Supercourt RX.
All four pairs are treated to a “Ftwr White/Off White/Chalk White” colorway, with their uppers dominantly sporting the “Ftwr White” hue. The heel tabs and lining are given the creamy “Off White” touch, while the sneakers’ sole units wear the “Chalk White” shade.
adidas Originals branding is tonal and minimalistic, simply displaying just its moniker and Trefoil logo in white in windows and tongue tabs. The SC Premiere gets a slightly bolder touch with contrasting black branding on the tongue. A notable addition to all four pairs is the debossed GORE-TEX INFINIUM branding adorning the rear-quarter of the shoe, which is placed alongside a branded tab that’s attached to either the eyestay or heel panel.
All of the weather-ready sneakers are made from premium, high-grain leather and feature a set of clean white laces to complete the tonal aesthetic. The SC Premiere and Superstar are priced at $140 USD, while the Rivalry Low will retail for $160 USD, and the Supercourt RX at $180 USD.
