Alyssa Prepares for a Wedding in 'The End of the F***ing World' Season 2 Trailer
The British hit returns next month.
After receiving a sneak peek and an official release date earlier this month, Netflix has finally dropped the first trailer for the highly-anticipated second season of The End of the F***ing World.
Warning: This post contains mild spoilers.
The British sleeper crept under the radar when it first aired on Channel 4 in early 2017, and thanks to Netflix, The End of the F***ing World has become a smash hit. Based off the comic books by Charles Forsman, the series centers on an off-kilter relationship between two 17-year-old outsiders. The End of the F***ing World stars Alex Lawther, who many remember from Black Mirror’s “Shut Up and Dance” episode.
In the one-and-a-half-minute trailer — which lacks any dialogue — visuals of Alyssa in a wedding dress are mixed in with a few cryptic and tense scenes of a new character, named Bonnie (Naomi Ackie), who seems to have a mysterious connection to Alyssa. The second season is said to pick up two years after Season 1’s timeline as Alyssa “deals with the fallout of the events.” The clip also doesn’t reveal if James (Lawther) is dead or alive, although we get a quick glimpse of the character.
The End of the F***ing World Season 2 will be available to stream on Netflix starting November 5.
