Following the release of its futuristic Buno Zip Boot with John Elliot, Suicoke has returned with new winter-ready footwear, this time teaming up with Japanese label South2 West8 for some thick sherpa boots.
Coming in colors of brown and black, the first silhouette is a Sherpa Boot equipped with a long zipper opening along the back. Thick sheepskin lines the inside of the boots, complete with “South2 West8” patch logos around the inner collars. Subtle seams appear throughout the body of the boots, boasting sleek lines that run along the sides, heel counter and center toe box. A tonal leather mudguard is placed atop a Vibram Arctic Grip Sole, which offers optimal traction on cold, slippery surfaces.
The next silhouette is a Sherpa Boot that comes with a small belt, which tightens the upper collars. This version sees fewer seams than the aforementioned model, paneling just the forefoot and rear, while a wide backstay strip runs down to the lower heel. The same mudguards and Vibram midsole have been added to the piece as a finishing touch to the warm boots.
Both silhouettes of the Sherpa Boots, with a belt strap or zipper, are currently available at nepenthes.shop-pro.jp for $345 and $353 USD, respectively.
