Themed after newsstands, the design of the RAMIDUS store is reminiscent to museum gift shops as white walls and minimal design offer contrast to the vibrant carrying options and carpeted seating area. Where HEAD PORTER catered to the time-tested classics in small luggage and accessories category, RAMIDUS looks to push/change the techniques, fabrics and designs associated in traditional bag making — offering a futuristic “new standard” for the next generation.
On top of vibrant colors, each bag sees patented TYPE material construction; TYPE is nylon that has been treated with polyurethane and is held together by high-frequency welding. The end result for bags that are made from TYPE are bags that are light in weight and waterproof. The inaugural collection will see collaborations with Hiroshi Fujiwara‘s fragment design imprint, Wolf’s Head, and LOOPWHEELER spanning from totes, small leather goods, T-shirts, and hoodies.
The launch collection is currently offered at both the Toyko and Osaka RAMIDUS flagship stores, with an online launch slated for later this month. Have a look at the images below for what RAMIDUS has in store.
