Mustard & Roddy Ricch Revisit Their 'Perfect Ten' Collab "Ballin" for New Video
The two West Coast hitmakers reconnect.
A couple weeks after linking up with Polo G for a single titled “Heartless,” Mustard is revisiting his most recent studio album Perfect Ten for a new visual. Specifically, the West Coast superstar reconnects with Roddy Ricch for a vignette in support of their Perfect Ten collaboration “Ballin.” Made up of 10 tracks, Perfect Ten also featured collaborative efforts with A$AP Rocky, Migos, YG, Playboi Carti Meek Mill, Future, Young Thug and others.
“This time I really wanted all of it to be able to be played in the club, whether it was a song about a watch or love. The edge comes from the desire to hear all of Perfect 10 in the club. Everything else is just ratchet and fun,” Mustard explained to Variety earlier this year, breaking down the sound of his latest LP and explaining his current approach to music and production. “Think about all the songs Lil Jon did — those songs are classic. He was heavy into Bay Area sounds. Ying-Yang Twins and ‘Get Low’ alone makes him a genius. Same thing with ‘California Love’ and Dre.”
“I don’t know what I was thinking about as a kid, I definitely wasn’t imagining my life being like this,” Mustard also shared with us, reflecting on his career and come-up. “But the people that know me from that picture know where I come from. It’s kind of super surreal for me to see me at that stage…and now I’ve become who I am today.”
