FKA Twigs Drops Atmospheric Self-Directed Video for "home with you"
Ahead of the release of ‘MAGDALENE.’
FKA Twigs has released “home with you,” her latest single to drop ahead of her highly-anticipated and soon-coming sophomore album MAGDALENE.
The multifaceted artist wrote and produced the song — as she did with her debut album LP1 – and also stars in the self-directed music video. The video is atmospheric and intriguing, packed with visual cues that we’ve come to expect from the London-based singer-songwriter that takes us from a spacey nightclub scene to a perfectly choreographed dance in a car.
Twigs’ music video is just as powerful as the “home with you” itself. It follows other singles from MAGDALENE, including her Future-assisted track “holy terrain” and the visuals for her hit “Cellophane.”
When speaking on “home with you” in a press release, Twigs said, “You can take the girl out of the suburbs but you can’t take the suburbs out of the girl. “home with you” reinforced my reoccurring suspicion that when I’m in doubt, I should follow my gut and go home.”
You can watch and listen to “home with you” above, and stream the new song via Spotify and Apple Music below. FKA Twigs is set to drop MAGDALENE on November 8.
