Hideo Kojima Models 'Death Stranding' x Places+Faces Collab (UPDATE)
The limited 3M-printed items will drop at a short-lived pop-up.

UPDATE (October 31, 2019): Places+Faces has confirmed a forthcoming Death Stranding pop-up in Camden, London, where the brands will launch the collaborative gear. Hideo Kojima himself — wearing a pair of last year’s ACRONYM x Nike Air Presto Mid sneakers — models the collaborative items, which feature 3M prints for an unmistakable contrast against each piece’s black base. Co-branded logos appear on the front while the large Death Stranding branding graces the rear.

ORIGINAL STORY (October 29, 2019): Hideo Kojima has prepared a variety of special goods and events in line with the eagerly-awaited release date of his newest game, Death Stranding. Perhaps the most unexpected is a newly-announced surprise collaboration with the buzzy Places+Faces collective.
The recent release of its Fall/Winter 2019 range saw Places+Faces expanding its line of wearables to include knitwear alongside fan favorites like branded tees and shoulder bags; expect those key items to inform the brand’s Kojima Productions partnership. Though the drop may come as a surprise, fans of Places+Faces will know that co-founders Ciesay and Soulz actually met Kojima himself several years ago, when HYPEBEAST caught up with the duo in Tokyo.
Imagery of the collaboration has yet to emerge, aside from Instagram posts with a co-branded logo and “Tomorrow Is In Your Hands” verbiage taken from Death Stranding‘s tagline. Expect more information to emerge closer to the game’s November 8 release date.
Most recently, Kojima visited Conan O’Brien’s office for a hands-on demonstration of his new work.
