Margot Robbie Set to Play Barbie in New Live-Action Film
Paying homage to the 60-year legacy of the iconic doll.

Aside from reprising the role of Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Margot Robbie is set to play Barbie in an upcoming live-action film.
Paying homage to the 60-year legacy of the iconic doll, the Barbie project is a partnership between Warner Bros. and toy purveyor Mattel. Robbie is also set to co-produce the movie, which will serve as the first picture from the newly-established Mattel Films division. According to reports, Mattel and Sony were previously working on a Barbie film with Amy Schumer, but scheduling issues forced an end to the project.
There’s no official release date yet for Warner Bros. and Mattel’s upcoming Barbie live-action film at the moment, but stay tuned for more details when they become available.
