LVMH Prize Timeline Confirmed, All-Star Judges Panel Announced

A who’s-who of fashion industry insiders join the proceedings.

With applications for the 2019 LVMH Prize closing in mere days — February 4 — the French conglomerate has announced the timeline of the prize, as well as the latest additions to its panel of industry insider judges. The prize’s semi-finals will go down on March 1 & 2, wherein the panel of 62 internationally-recognized fashion experts will select eight finalists from the pool of candidates.

16 new additions to the cast of 46 experts include the following: Kevin Ma, founder and CEO of HYPEBEAST; Rami Atallah, founder of the fashion platform SSENSE; Naomi Campbell, top Model and philanthropist; Edward Enninful Obe, editor-in-chief of British Vogue; Angelo Flaccavento, fashion journalist; Ashley Heath, editorial director at Pop and Arena Homme+; Joerg Koch, editor-in-chief of 032c; Aimee Song, founder of Song of Style, Chiara Ferragni, Digital Entrepreneur, President and CEO of TBS CREW Srl & ambassador of the 2019 LVMH Prize showroom, and more. They’ll join heavyweight experts like Karlie Kloss, Carine Roitfeld, Suzy Menkes and Sarah Andelman.

“This year, I am delighted to welcome 16 new members to our panel of experts,” exclaimed Delphine Arnault, Louis Vuitton vice president. “They will join the already prestigious list of fashion professionals who I wish to warmly thank for their support and their loyalty to young fashion designers.”

For the time being, continue submitting applications on the LVMH Prize website.

Meanwhile, LVMH is reportedly launching a luxury label with Rihanna.
