UPDATE: BAPE has officially revealed the release date for its collaborative “NHBAPE® POD S-3.1” silhouette made in conjunction with NEIGHBORHOOD and adidas Originals. Look for the BAPE x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Originals “NHBAPE® POD S-3.1” to release this Saturday, January 19 at BAPE retailers and Hoods HK for ¥26,000 JPY, or approximately $230 USD. December 30, 2018: After receiving a complete look at BAPE‘s latest team-up with NEIGHBORHOOD and adidas Originals, the Japanese stalwart has now shared the release dates for the highly-anticipated sneaker silhouettes.
The revamped adidas NMD, dubbed the “NHBAPE NMD STLT,” is dressed in a mostly black upper featuring graphic tape forming a unique pattern. Black EVA plugs and a signature white BOOST midsole are also included, while hits of yellow can be seen on the lower lateral and medial portions.
Over on the POD S-3.1 “NHBAPE,” each shoe is split into grey/white and black/purple camo, seeing both BAPE’s signature Ape head and NEIGHBORHOOD’s skull-and-cross-bones insignias strewn about. BAPE’s iconic Shark Face motif has been emblazoned on the lateral sides, while adidas’ Three Stripes branding takes the medial portions. Take a look at both silhouettes in the new lookbook above.
The BAPE x NEIGHBORHOOD x adidas Originals “NHBAPE NMD STLT” will release at BAPE retailers and Hoods HK on Wednesday, January 2 for ¥26,000 JPY, or approximately $230 USD. The “NHBAPE® POD S-3.1” will then drop before January’s end. Stay tuned for an exact release date for the latter.
