Hear Wavves' Rollicking Cover of Weezer's "You Gave Your Love to Me Softly"
The Californian quartet take us all the way back to 1996.

Only a few days ago, Weezer and Wavves announced that they were teaming up to release a collaborative split 7” through Nathan WIlliams’ Ghost Ramp label. Today, Wavves have unveiled their cover of Weezer’s 1996 track “You Gave Your Love to Me Softly,” which was originally the B-side to Pinkerton‘s “El Scorcho.” The rollicking rework will appear alongside Weezer’s previously unreleased A-side, “Fake Smiles and Nervous Laughter,” on the Weezer X Wavves 7”.
