A Holographic Thom Yorke Wanders Across a Barren Landscape in Mark Pritchard's "Beautiful People" Music Video
The Radiohead frontman stars in the vid for the collaborative ‘Under The Sun’ cut.
Back when Radiohead announced its triumphant return with A Moon Shaped Pool, the band followed up its claymation video for “Burn The Witch” with the Paul Thomas Anderson-directed “Daydreaming.” In it, Thom Yorke took on the starring role as Anderson’s camera followed the frontman on a journey that eventually led up a snow-covered mountain and into a campfire-lit cave.
Now Yorke is back for another starring role in a music video. This time around its for UK producer Mark Pritchard’s Under The Sun cut “Beautiful People” — an atmospheric standout that sees Yorke himself on vocals. Directed by Michal Marczak, the clip is sort of a unique spiritual successor of sorts to “Daydreaming” as a holographic Yorke wanders a barren landscape before things take a turn for the weird at the very end.
