Axel Arigato and Samsung Join Forces to Launch Fully Transparent Galaxy S9
I can see clearly now.
Swedish-based fashion brand Axel Arigato and tech giant Samsung have joined forces to create a five-piece, fully see-through limited edition collection in a campaign starring Kanye collaborator Teyana Taylor and Korean model Wooseok Lee. Focused on the concept of transparency in our modern digital age, the clothing and accessories leave little to the imagination. Shot by photographer Kito Muñoz, the capsule is composed of a transparent oversized PU jacket, matching trousers, bag, shoes, and the Samsung Galaxy S9.
“Today we see transparency through a generation always online, technology has given power to a new mindset for everyone. As a result our aim is to embody this era into a number of see-through products placing the subject of transparency into a new light,” stated Max Svärdh, Axel Arigato’s co-founder. The limited drop of 200 pieces includes zippers printed with the Arigato and Samsung logos, as well as drawstrings for fit. The footwear are labelled on the sole of the shoe with unit numbers 1-200, as well as on the hardware of the 3-point utility bags. The Samsung S9 will feature a see-through back with co-branding. For the launch, the brand handpicked laser artist Timothy Wilson to create a futuristic, industrial-size laser installation, blurring the line between sculpture and performance.
The collection launches September 14th in Stockholm and September 17th on the brand’s site. Prices start at $185 USD and will be sold exclusively through Axel Arigato channels.
