The Shoe Surgeon Commemorates France’s World Cup Win With Special Air Jordan 1 Custom

With eyes the world over tuned in to watch France claim victory against Croatia in the 2018 FIFA World Cup finale, The Shoe Surgeon thought to commemorate the momentous win with a familiar hybrid creation set to honor the newly-crowned champs. Similar in concept to what we saw late last year, the bespoke sneaker artist, once again, fuses key design characteristics of both the Air Jordan 1 and the old-school soccer-inspired Nike Tiempo ’94.
Drenched in France’s national colors, the sneakers highlight the Tiempo’s overlapping tongue — featuring the country’s French Football Federation logo — in addition to the exposed stitching accents found on the vamp. The remainder of the dual-sport mashup closely resembles Jordan Brand’s iconic AJ1, complete with a clean white side Swoosh and sole unit. The France World Cup AJ1 Tiempo surprise release is available online now for a price of $1,200 USD.
