Nike Introduces New In-Store Shopping App
A new experience from the Swoosh.
Blending the worlds of physical shopping and smartphone technology into one, sportswear giant Nike has just introduced a new app that will enhance the customer’s shopping experience, the Nike App at Retail.
Nike’s new app aims to enhance the retail experience in three key areas. First off, customers can now see if their size is in store, allowing for same-day reservations. After a reservation is made, a push notification will then be sent, telling customers when their items are ready to be picked up. Secondly, NikePlus members will be given access to special Nike products, exclusive discounts, and partner rewards for their shopping activity in the Nike App. Lastly, the app will allow users to scan barcodes to learn more about any product, discover available sizes and colors, and see real-time inventory online and in-store without having to call upon a store employee.
Nike App at Retail’s Reserve, Instant Unlocks and Nike Scan are currently only available at Nike Santa Monica, The Grove and Nike Portland, and will become available at Nike’s newest retail concept, Nike Live, at Nike by Melrose on July 12. The app will then hit all Nike Store locations later this year. Watch how the Nike App at Retail works in the video above and head over to Nike.com to download it now.
