Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, Metallica to Headline Global Citizen Festival

This year’s Global Citizen Festival is no joke. Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, Rihanna, Usher, Chris Martin, Major Lazer and cohort of others are set to perform at fifth annual awareness-raising concert this year in NYC’s central park on September 24. Much like the previous years, tickets need to be “earned” by volunteering to take action:
You can choose from a range of actions that earn you points. Once you earn enough points, you can enter the draw for festival tickets. Every two weeks we will launch a new campaign with a different challenge for Global Citizens—and a chance to win. Redeeming previous points will not qualify you to enter the draw.
In addition to some of the main acts listed above the 2016 Global Citizen Fest will get special appearances Ellie Goulding, Yandel, and Yusuf/Cat Stevens, and will be hosted by Chelsea Handler, Deborra-Lee & Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris, Priyanka Chopra, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Seth Meyers.
