Pusha T Confirms New G.O.O.D. Music Project & Explains Jay Z Collaboration "Drug Dealers Anonymous"
‘Cruel Winter’ is real.

Directly following the release of the lead single for Pusha T‘s highly-anticipated new studio album King Push, the G.O.O.D. Music co-leader has connected with Genius to break down the story behind the single. Notably, he also seemed to confirmed a new G.O.O.D. Music compilation effort during the course of his statement. Elaborating on part of the backstory for “Drug Dealers Anonymous,” Push tells Genius:
“I was coming to Los Angeles to work on the G.O.O.D. Music album and play Kanye some new things I’d been working on…I played him ‘Drug Dealers Anonymous’ and I said, ‘I want Hov on this.’ He was like, ‘Oh man. That would be fire.” Pusha then sent Jay an email with the track and his verse, and the exchange went a little something like this:

After a break in the communication, during which Jay likely began crafting his verse, he hit Pusha back.

Of course, Pusha T also took the time to annotate the single’s lyrics and went into great length and detail about certain parts of the track. You can check out the entire piece about “Drug Dealers Anonymous” here.
