Nike Celebrates Record-Breaking Nigeria World Cup Kit With Mercurial 360 Colorway
“Naija Mercurial.”
With the 2018 World Cup just around the corner, every competing country has been announcing the kits it would wear for the tournament. Arguably the best and most popular — with a reported 3 million pre-orders — was the capsule designed for the Nigerian team. To celebrate that kit’s release, Nike has now added the eye-catching design to its Mercurial Superfly 360 football boot.
The boot comes in the green-and-white color of Nigeria’s home jersey, with the kit’s chevron design along the bottom of the boot. The Mercurial 360 is also set to release in a black-and-white colorway as a nod to the jacket, shorts and bucket hat in the accompanying capsule. The boots — and the full Nigeria collection — are available from the Nike web store now, with the Mercurial Superfly 360s priced at £255 (approx. $340 USD).
This is Nike’s latest special-edition Mercurial 360 capsule, with Kim Jones and Virgil Abloh also releasing collaborative boots this year.
