A Closer Look at the Kim Jones “Football Reimagined” Nike Collection
A DIY approach to sportswear.
After releasing exclusively at Dover Street Market London and being previewed in a lookbook, Kim Jones‘s “Football Reimagined” collaboration with Nike now gets a closer look. The capsule takes influence from two of the Dior Homme designer’s passions, with both football and the DIY ethos of the 1970s London punk scene referenced in the athletic collection.
As well as the hybrid sneaker, the collection includes shorts, jerseys and track jackets in a predominantly black color palette. Detailing — including the Swoosh and the number 11 — comes in either white or neon yellow, with contrasting materials used as a reference to the collection’s punk influence. The full collection is set to release at select retailers on June 7.
