'Fortnite' Made $100 Million USD on iOS in First Three Months
It’s the third most successful mobile launch ever.

The massively popular battle-royale title Fortnite is the third most successful mobile launch ever, earning $100 million USD in its first 90 days on Apple’s App Store. According to analytics platform Sensor Tower, the free-to-play game has earned its riches from in-game purchases of cosmetics and battle passes that offer exclusive rewards to unlock.
The game hit half of what it’s made in May, putting its grand total behind breakout mobile titles Clash Royal and Pokèmon GO. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has only been monetized for 60 days or so thus far and as such, has yet to hit $100 million USD in revenue. In May PUBG’s Bluehole filed a suit against Epic Games for copyright infringement.
In related news, a former Sony head explained why PlayStation 4 doesn’t do cross-play for Fortnite.
