Raf Simons‘s Spring/Summer 2019 runway show ushered a new phase of menswear tailoring that fused haute couture with signature Raf codes. The collection’s ’70s/’80s punk rock theme saw wide shoulder suiting and Duchesse satin in various saturated hues — all of which was complemented by New Wave-inspired leather platform boots courtesy of adidas.
The adidas by Raf Simons SS19 footwear range centered on a high-top boot silhouette seen in white, metallic silver, glossy and suede black options. The model’s sturdy platform is a hybrid of Raf Simons’s Ozweego and Detroit Runner sole units, which are “deceptively lightweight” despite their assertive look.
