Helmut Lang Introduces Global Taxi Campaign
A limited edition collection to commemorate the legendary 1998 campaign.
Teased earlier this month, Helmut Lang launches its global taxi initiative in key cities around the world. In deference to Lang’s landmark 1998 advertising campaign, in which the Viennese designer became the first to ever advertise his brand on yellow taxis, the brand is issuing a series of referential tees and hoodies. Five distinct logos reference the initiative’s five major cities: New York, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo and London. Five photographers shot local taxi drivers wearing the collection, which centers around solid-colored layers emblazoned with bold “LIMITED EDITION TAXI” verbiage on the rear and a small “TAXI” print on the front.

Elsewhere, the brand introduced a playful series of dating ads for Pre-Fall 2018.
