Chance The Rapper Reflects on the Legacy of 'Surf'

Two years ago, Chance the Rapper and his music outfit Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment released their debut album Surf. For it’s second-year anniversary, Chance reflects on the album’s legacy and shares memories about the project’s making. “First free album on iTunes,” Chance writes on Twitter. “I tried to get them to put “free” instead of “get.”
The Chicago rapper also talks about the music collective’s collaboration with Cara Delevingne and Jake Schreier on the music video for “Nothing Came To Me,” and how Erykah Badu let Chance “lay in her lap while she recorded ‘Rememory.’” Check out the tweets and revisit the album below.
