Following the gold-plated Chinese New Year Money Cat BE@RBRICK and matching daruma R@BBRICK, Medicom Toy revives the pair with two new makeups. Available in silver-and red-plated iterations, respectively, the BE@RBRICK and R@BBRICK toys both feature similar detailing, though the BE@RBRICK is a regular maneki-neko instead of a Peko-chan collaboration.
Look for both figures to hit Medicom Toy’s SKYTREE TOWN outpost on April 25, with retail set at ¥1,500 JPY (about $13 USD) for the 100% size, while the 400% iteration weighs in at ¥6,480 JPY (about $60 USD).
Medicom Toy recently partnered with Japanese denim enthusiasts FDMTL for a sashiko-and boro-detailed BE@RBRICK.
