Nike Celebrates Manchester City Title Victory With Special-Edition Shirt
In tribute to the fans and players.
To mark Manchester City‘s all-conquering Premier League season, Nike is set to release a special-edition shirt. The new jersey made its first appearance as the City players walked out for the team’s match with Swansea, the first time they had played since being named winners earlier this month.
The white jersey comes with a two-tone sash in light blue and maroon, referencing the home and away kits worn by Manchester City over the course of the season. Other details include gold “Champions” embroidery around the club crest, the names of every player to have played for the club this season on the back, and “CITYZENS” — in tribute to the club’s fans — across the front. The commemorative shirt will be available from the Nike Jersey Shop from April 30.
